Job Description

Aberdein Considine are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join their Aberdeen office. The role will involve covering all conveyancing formalities in regard to sale, purchase and private remortgage transactions. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team and also ensure compliance with the Firm Compliance Procedures and the Law Society of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicating with banks, companies, and other persons in relation to the conveyancing transaction
• Taking instructions from clients
• Protecting clients’ interest at all times, while taking precautions against potential fraud and money laundering
• Drafting, collating, and sending supporting legal and financial documents
• Dealing with financial aspects of a transaction
• Receiving and checking mortgage instructions from lenders and undertaking specific tasks
• Dealing with conveyancing transactions from inception to completion
• Registration timeously of deeds
• Completing compliance requests and exercises in relation to transactions
• Anticipated case load minimum of 30 transactions per month

Requirements

About You:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and has the ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of the Scottish conveyancing process and have experience in dealing with 20+ conveyances a month. Having the ability to prioritise workload and to meet strict deadlines would be an essential requirement. A registered paralegal qualification would be desirable.
