PA or Legal Secretary - Commercial Real Estate

Position Type - Full-time/Permanent

Location: Glasgow (Office based or Hybrid)

Aberdein Considine is one of the UK’s fastest growing law firms and is looking for an experienced Personal Assistant or Legal Secretary to join our CRE (Commercial Real Estate) team in Glasgow on a Full Time/ Permanent Basis (office based).

The role will involve working closely with Partners and Solicitors to support in providing clients across a variety of industries and business sectors, a broadly-based legal and business advisory service with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service.

Role of Department

  • Work with clients across a variety of industries and business sectors to provide a broadly-based legal and business advisory service.
  • Provide a comprehensive range of commercial property services.

Job Purpose

  • To perform legal support duties to the Commercial Real Estate team
  • Assist the Head of CRE by providing secretarial and administrative support

Key Responsibilities

  • File creation / closure
  • Carry out conflict and money laundering checks
  • Audio typing
  • Deal with inbound and outbound emails, letters and telephone calls
  • Schedule and facilitate internal and client meetings
  • Record and track department fees and monitor payment/recovery thereof
  • Generally support the Head of CRE and Commercial team as required




  • Higher English
  • 2 Highers at B grade level


  • HNC/HND Administration or Legal Services

Skills and Experience


  • Previous secretarial or PA experience coordination of policy for handling client credit and debit balances
  • Experienced in Commercial Landlord and Tenant Work
  • Coordination of LBTT submissions and payments as well as Registration of deed at Registers of Scotland and Books of Council and Session.
  • Ability to independently manage AML checks and onboarding of clients
  • Production of Draft Legal Documentation
  • Upkeep of Document Sharefile for key clients and transaction


  • Previous experience of working in a busy law firm
  • Experienced in using Case Management System- preferably Visual Files



  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Knowledge of office procedures
