Glasgow-based Senior Solicitor Chloe Imrie, who works in Aberdein Considine’s acclaimed debt recovery and banking litigation team, has been highly commended in the UK Credit Awards 2026.

Chloe went head-to-head with shortlisted colleagues Katie Macdonald and Sarah Clough in the Rising Star of the Year (Service Provider) category at the annual awards, which were held at Celtic Manor in Wales last night [24 June 2026].

Aberdein Considine’s Lender Services Practice Group, which acts for major UK institutions and banks, was also shortlisted for the Best Company to Work For (Service Provider) award at this year’s ceremony, having scooped Legal Team of the Year in 2025.

Aberdein Considine’s debt recovery department is Legal 500 top‑ranked, Tier 1, and continues to go from strength to strength. In 2025, the department achieved a record turnover of over £9 million, with profits increasing by approximately 40%, while handling more than 10,000 new instructions for the second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, Practice Head Myra Scott was recognised again as a L500 Leading Partner and in two major appointments for 2025 the firm welcomed experienced commercial and litigation lawyer Jamie Apted as Partner and industry-renowned contractual debt recovery specialist Shilpi Jairath as Operations Director for Lender Services.

The firm was successfully reappointed to the UK’s largest mortgage lender’s UK Recoveries Panel and was instructed on total outstanding mortgage balances in the UK of more than £1 billion in 2025.

Myra Scott, Head of Aberdein Considine’s Lender Services Practice Group, said: “I’m thrilled for Chloe Imrie on being highly commended in the Rising Star award category at the Credit Awards. This accolade is richly deserved and it was fantastic that Katie Macdonald and Sarah Clough also made the shortlist: they are all exemplary banking litigation lawyers whose careers go from strength to strength.

“Being recognised in awards such as these reinforces our reputation for excellence, as well as helping us champion best practice as both a service provider and an employer. We’re always striving to further build on our position as one of the UK’s foremost banking litigation and debt recovery firms, working with most of the UK’s major banks and financial institutions.”

Chloe Imrie qualified as a solicitor in 2023 and joined Aberdein Considine the same year.

Chloe Imrie, Senior Solicitor, said: “I am beyond delighted to have been highly commended in the Rising Star category. From the moment I joined Aberdein Considine as a newly qualified solicitor with no experience in banking litigation, my colleagues have always been there to support me and share their knowledge with me. I am proud to be part of such a strong, collaborative team.”
