Banking litigation lawyer Ahsan Mustafa celebrates new Law Society Journal role 

Banking litigation solicitor Ahsan Mustafa, Senior Associate in our award-winning Lender Services Practice Group, has added another string to his bow having been appointed Vice Chair of the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland’s Editorial Advisory Board. 

The Journal’s Editorial Advisory Board brings together practitioners from across the profession to support its editorial team. The Board provides insight on developments across legal practice, helps identify emerging issues of interest to solicitors, and contributes to the continuing evolution of Scotland’s leading professional legal publication. As Vice Chair, Ahsan will assist the Chair and editorial staff in shaping discussions and refining the Board’s contribution to the Journal throughout the year. 

Ahsan undertakes this appointment alongside his work within our renowned banking litigation team, where he advises clients across the UK on complex debt and asset recovery and insolvency. His involvement reflects his experience in the sector and his ongoing commitment to professional service. 

Commenting on the appointment, Ahsan said: 

It’s an honour to take on this role. The Journal plays an important part in supporting the legal profession across Scotland and I look forward to contributing to the Board’s work in a constructive and practical way.” 

In addition to his new role on the Editorial Advisory Board, Ahsan is a Member of the Council of the Law Society of Scotland for the Glasgow & Strathkelvin constituency and sits on the Board of the Law Society of Scotland, as well as its Civil Justice Committee and Consumer Law Subcommittee.
