Ahsan Mustafa
Senior Associate
Ahsan Mustafa is a Senior Associate in Aberdein Considine’s Banking Litigation team, part of the wider Lender Services Practice Group, and works from the firm’s Cadell House office in Glasgow.
Since joining the firm in September 2024, he has developed a reputation for his practical insight, strategic case management, and strong commercial focus.
He acts for major UK banks, lenders, and financial institutions on complex volume debt and asset recovery (in Scotland), banking disputes, enforcement actions, and personal and corporate insolvency matters. Ahsan advises on litigation strategy, reputational risk, and compliance with consumer credit and financial conduct regulations, helping clients manage risk, resolve disputes efficiently, and protect their commercial interests. He frequently represents clients in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and has particular expertise in defended litigation.
Beyond client work, Ahsan is actively involved in the wider legal community. He serves as an elected Council Member for Glasgow and Strathkelvin, sits on the Board of the Law Society of Scotland, contributes to the Civil Justice Committee and Consumer Law Sub-Committee, and is a Council Member of the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow. He also sits on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland, regularly contributes to legal training initiatives, and has provided evidence to the Scottish Parliament on legal reform.
