Emma Roman is an Associate and Notary Public at Aberdein Considine and works from the firm’s Multrees Walk office in Edinburgh, whilst also assisting clients from the Perth office.

Since joining Aberdein Considine in 2021, she has built a reputation for her dedicated, sensitive and solution-focused approach. Emma acts for a broad range of clients, including private individuals and families, providing advice that is tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Her core practice areas cover all aspects of family law, including cohabitation, separation, divorce, children, guardianship and intervention orders. Whether advising on straightforward matters or complex disputes, she combines strong technical knowledge with a practical focus on outcomes – helping clients to understand not only the legal position but also the implications for their family and future.

With particular expertise in child law, Emma has acted in a wide range of matters involving residence and contact cases, specific issue orders and protective orders relating to children. She has considerable court experience and is recognised as a strong litigator, representing clients in both the Sheriff Court and instructing Counsel in the Court of Session.
