Partner
Isabelle Douglas is a Partner at Aberdein Considine and works primarily from the firm’s Blenheim House office but also from the Peterhead office.
Since joining Aberdein Considine in 2003 as a summer student and qualifying as a solicitor in 2007, Isabelle has built a reputation for her meticulous approach, practical guidance, and dedication to achieving positive outcomes for clients. She acts for a broad range of clients, including private individuals, family businesses, and corporate clients, providing advice that is tailored to each client’s circumstances.
Her core practice areas include separation and divorce (often involving complex financial provision), cohabitation agreement and claims, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, disputes relating to children and adoption. Whether guiding clients through routine matters or through intricate family law disputes, Isabelle combines her technical legal knowledge and fastidious attention to detail with a practical focus, helping clients to fully understand both the legal and practical implications of their decisions.
Isabelle is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Family Law and as a Family Law Mediator, and is a trained Collaborative Family Lawyer. Recognised for her expertise, she is ranked in the Chambers and Partners Guide and named as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500. Isabelle is also a trustee on the Board of Avenue, a charitable organisation providing counselling, mediation and other therapeutic support to families across the North East of Scotland.
