Karl Brown is a Partner at Aberdein Considine, based at Blenheim House in Aberdeen.

Joining the firm in 2017, Karl brought with him decades of experience as a solicitor in the Granite City. He is known for providing practical, straightforward advice when guiding clients through complex family law matters.

Karl handles a broad spectrum of family law cases, from cohabitation agreements, separation/divorce (often including complex financial provision) and cohabitation claims to child-related issues such as residence, contact, specific issue orders and adoptions. He also advises on Children’s Reporter Hearings, interdicts and non-harassment orders in cases of domestic abuse and guardianship orders.

Karl is trained as a Collaborative Family Lawyer, and combines technical expertise and vast legal knowledge with a focus on achieving practical outcomes. He is an experienced litigator who regularly represents clients in court, while also exploring collaborative solutions where appropriate. Karl is listed in the Legal 500 and has holds memberships with the Family Law Association, Aberdeen Bar Association, and Consensus Collaboration Scotland.
