Megan Young is a Senior Solicitor at Aberdein Considine, working from the firm’s Blenheim House office.

Since joining the firm in July 2023, she has quickly become recognised for her thorough, client-focused approach and practical guidance in family law matters. Megan provides sympathetic support tailored to each client’s individual circumstances, helping them navigate complex and often emotional issues with confidence. Megan is enthusiastic and driven and combines her strong legal knowledge with a pragmatic approach to ensure clients fully understand their legal position and options.

Megan’s core practice areas include cohabitation agreements, separation, divorce and orders relating to parental rights and responsibilities (including contact, residence, relocation, and school enrolment). She also advises on adults with incapacity matters, including guardianship, and is experienced in seeking protective orders such as interim interdicts, interdicts, and non-harassment orders.

Megan is an active member of the Family Law Association and the Aberdeen Bar Association and has been appointed as a New Lawyers Representative on the Council of the Law Society of Scotland.
