Senior Associate
Tom Main is a Senior Associate at Aberdein Considine, based primarily at Blenheim House and but also attending at the Inverurie office.
Since starting with the firm in 2013 as a summer student and qualifying as a solicitor in 2017, Tom has developed a reputation for his clear, pragmatic advice and his commitment to guiding clients through complex family law matters with confidence and reassurance.
He advises on a wide range of family law issues, including complex divorce, child law, guardianships, and protective court orders. Tom regularly supports clients in matters involving parental responsibilities and rights, international child relocation disputes, cohabitation agreements, and financial issues arising from separation or divorce.
An experienced and tenacious litigator, whilst also a trained Collaborative lawyer, Tom is equally comfortable advocating in the Sheriff Courts across Scotland or helping clients reach resolutions without the need for court proceedings. Accredited as a Family Law Specialist by the Law Society of Scotland, he combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of each client’s circumstances. Tom also serves as President of the Aberdeen Bar Association and is a member of the Family Law Association of Scotland and Consensus Collaboration Scotland.
