Stewart is a Partner within our Corporate and Business Advisory team at Aberdein Considine, based in our Multrees Walk office in Edinburgh.
Stewart advises the firm’s Corporate M&A clients, with a particular focus on SMEs, owner-managed businesses and also a wide range of clients in the renewable energy sector.
He initially gained traineeship experience in criminal and civil litigation before qualifying as a Solicitor in June 2016. Upon qualification, he began his career by advising SMEs on corporate M&A transactions and commercial contract matters across a wide range of sectors, which included data protection and intellectual property advisory work. Stewart later moved into the renewable energy sector, where he developed a specialism in corporate energy M&A transactions. During this period, he advised on the corporate aspects of the project finance and construction of one of Scotland’s largest windfarms.
His subsequent roles included senior positions focused on corporate, construction, and renewable energy work, with continued specialisation in corporate M&A and energy contract advisory matters. His experience includes advising on Scotland’s first-of-its-kind public EV charging contract and on windfarm wake loss agreements.
